Spring Festival, day one

Ok, where to start... morning was pretty standard, nothing special until lunch time so I'll start there. I was sitting in Professor Q's room getting ready to eat lunch (I have his history class right after lunch. Professor Q is also my home room teacher, so I get to see him in the morning and the afternoon, whoopie!) when a girl with orangy pinkish hair walked in. This, as I quickly discovered, was Coral. I will answer the obvious question first, because my brian won't shut up about it, yes she's cute.

She invited me to go have lunch with her and her friend, who turned out to be that enormous rock right outside the main school building. I know it was weird, but trust me it gets even stranger. After talking to her for a while it started to seem like she wasn't from around here, but I let it go because I try to keep stuff like that out of my life because its way too stressful. So ya. But, all in all, she was very nice, and even shared her lunch with me, and Tsoa liked her so she must be alright, he's a very good judge of character. Anyway we talked and it turns out that she actually didn't know what the seasonal festivals were, what's up with that?  So I invited her to tag along with Alice and I at the festival.

After lunch I went to my classes and after that I went to club. Coral met up with me there and I got her set up as manager of the team. Oh right I think I forgot to tell Coral something. Coral if you read this, show up at the open air gym every day after classes, I'll tell you when I see you as well.

When club got out Alice was waiting for me. Earlier, I had decided to help Coral find Festival clothing, because she didn't own any, and apparently Alice didn't either. We went to Coral's dorm to pick up money, and... well there was a lot. Principal Nashira gives her an envelope full of money every week for some strange reason. I don't even want to think of how much was there. Anyway, we decided to  go looking for the more expensive clothes because Coral said she wanted something with flowers and some of the more expensive ones have bows tied in the shape of a flower. The shops that sell them, though, are kinda far, Coral had a brilliant idea though, her friend, the stone, could get us there and back. My first thought was "how in the hell is a stone going to transport someone?" But it worked, so I'm just going to ignore the crazy there and move on.

We started shopping when Coral and I noticed that Alice didn't have any money. Coral offered to buy her a Kiria (festival wear for girls), which Alice agreed to after a little prodding. I let the girls go off and shop by themselves because my leg was acting up and I didn't want to get in their way. I don't know what Coral did, but she and Alice looked amazing when they came back, not that they didn't look good before, but oh man, I've never seen a cuter looking Alice. Yeah. So when all that was done we went back with the help of Coral's friend again and we were just before the festival's start, and I had just enough time to change into my dress martial arts uniform.

First thing we went to do was to check out the Sparring Competition. I entered it, I know it was dumb because I have a broken leg, but hey I wanted to give it a shot anyway. Alice gave me an angry look when I walked onto the mat. I got past the first few guys just using my hands, ut I think that was because they were afraid of me, but then I got up against Kerry, and she gave me a look  like what the hell was I thinking and kicked me in the face. Ouch. I was out after that.

Right near the Sparring competition we ran into Professor Q and his husband, it was the same green haired guy from my dream, though he looked a little different. I asked him about it and he seemed to know what I was talking about, but walked off before I could get much out of him so I let it go.

After that we went off to play some of the festival game booth games. Coral wondered off around then so it was just me and Alice for a little while. It was nice spending time alone with her. She kicked my butt at all the games, it was pretty funny. While we were wondering around we saw a bunch of those kids who walk around in those black hooded cloaks surrounding some kid. Alice and I decided to see what was up and it sounded like they were giving him a hard time, so I asked Alice if I should scare them off. She said as long as I don't hurt anyone then its probably best I get rid of the black cloak guys. So, I fake punched one guy in the face and they all ran off.

The kid they were pestering was named Tawny. He was Professor Q's kid, kinda strange, kept trying to convince me that magic is real, which kept making Alice giggle. Alice invited him to spend the rest of today's festival with us and he said sure. All in all it was really fun, and I'm glad I got to spend the time with Alice.

The second day is tomorrow, and I can't wait, so I'm heading to bed to make sure that I'm well rested.

Made it to school

I got out of bed today and was able to get to school. I only live a few blocks away and I'm pretty used to being on crutches so it wasn't too difficult for me to get there.

Classes were normal, nothing really special to report there. That girl whose been writing in my journal, Coral, didn't show up today though. I wonder why? Maybe she changed her mind and decided not to talk to me after all... But she did make me that scarf, speaking of which, how did that get into my journal... know what never mind I don't want to think about it, its just too weird and no harm is coming from it so I don't care enough to find out.

I went to club, but since I have this cast for the next ten weeks or so, so I could only offer support and not really do anything myself. I took off a little earlier than usual and went to go see if I could find Alice in the computer lab. When I first got there I couldn't find her anywhere, in fact, no one was in the lab at all. As I walked out of the lab, I heard someone tell me to wait and I turned around to see Alice running out of the lab to catch up. I thought it was a little weird that she came from the lab after I had just checked there, but I figured she must have just been in the back room or where ever it is that they keep the network (I think that's what its called, but I don't know too much about computers so I might be wrong.).

She and I walked to the train station after that. She seemed a lot less fidgety and tense today, which is good. Alice asked to sign my cast and I said sure. No one's ever asked to sign my cast before except for Jamie and he usually writes something ridiculous on it to embarrass me. Alice signed her name and under that drew a picture of a which riding a key. I asked her what it was and she said it was her avi, what ever that is.

The Spring Festival starts tomorrow. I asked Alice if she was going with anyone and she said she didn't plan on going because she never knew what to do at that kind of thing. I said that if she went with me, I'd show her around and I promised she'd have fun... and she said yes, she agreed to go with me. The festival is a week long and is held to celebrate the height of spring, it's my favorite of the seasonal festivals, I can't wait.

That's all that happened today so I'm going to head off to bed now.

So I was completely unsuccessful at getting out of bed this morning. Meaning I missed school which sucks because it also means I missed practice... Not that I could do very much in my condition, but I could at least give advice to my team.

Jamie came by after school to see how I was doing. He brought Jen along and she brought Alice, who seemed a little uncomfortable. We all talked for a little before they took off. Jamie also gave me the homework assignments that I missed.

Nothing much happened after that. Soph came into my room and we did homework together. I always like spending time with my sister.

Anyway, I want to get to sleep early so I can try and get up for tomorrow.

What the hell...

So I was just looking through my journal and I found comments to my entries... HOW is this possible? I mean its been sitting on my nightstand all night and all this morning and I know they weren't there this morning.

I can't really go anywhere today, so I'm going to respond to these because I've got nothing better to do, and I feel that since its my journal I should give her (I'm guessing its a girl here from the handwriting and the way she writes). Also I think she was reading my entries in the wrong order cause if I read them forward it seems really confusing. So, nothing more to write today since I'm just gonna be sitting in bed.

Weird dream

Ok so I already wrote something today, but I feel like I need to put more because I just had the strangest dream I've ever had. I fell asleep right after I wrote last which is when this all started.

The dream started off at school. It seemed normal enough, not much happened until around noon. I was on the front lawn eating lunch with Jamie when a bunch of really weirdly dressed people walked onto the school grounds. I didn't get a good look at them at first and I didn't really pay them much mind. Principal Nashira showed up after a bit and talked to them then later made an announcement about how we were to ignore these people because they were conducting a survey.

After my next class I went to the library because I needed to get a book and those people were there arguing over something so I decided to find out why they were really there, I didn't buy Principal Nashira's story about them doing a survey. There were seven of them, one had green hair and green clothes and apparently was Professor Q's husband (for clarity, Professor Q is a man), another had pink hair and was very nicely dressed, the next looked like he was trying really hard to look like a pirate, he was wearing an eye-patch and everything he also had Mutation K, the next guy had fox ears and a fox tail, he seemed the least crazy of the bunch, go figure, the next one was a woman, she also had Mutation K, I didn't get a good look at her other than noticing that though, there was also an elf, like those mythological creatures I learned about in my Mythology class, and the last guy looked like something that got dredged up from a swamp.

After some questioning I found out that they were looking for something for a griffin but didn't know what exactly, so I suggested that it might be an egg seeing as something this ridiculous might have a simple answer. I followed them for a little while and we wound up in the school sewers where they broke down this metal door and grabbed this egg from inside the room only to be chased out by a giant spider. They proceeded to kill said spider after which the dream ended.

Nothing's happened since I woke up so there's nothing more to write.

Early and late entry

Well I guess I'm due for an explanation here I guess. I mean I haven't written anything for a few days and now I'm writing pretty early in the day.

I'll start with the tournament on Wednesday. It went well, Kerry placed first like I knew she would, I also placed first in my division in sparring. I also placed third in forms. Jamie came like he always does, and he brought Jen and Alice came too and they were all cheering me on, that was nice. They all went to watch Kerry spar with me, which was really impressive.

Everything was fine and well until after the competition. Some guys from the same team as one of the girls Kerry had beaten started bugging her when she got out of the changing room. I didn't know much of why they were bugging her but I didn't like it, so me and Jamie went to go get rid of them (Jamie doesn't fight or anything, but he's a damn good talker). Well they didn't feel like talking and one of them tried to kick me in the head, bad mistake seeing as how when I dodged his kick Kerry swept him, which is when the tourney referees came to break it up. We explained the situation and the refs took the guys off to the judges room.

As we were leaving the competition hall I tripped as we were going down the stairs and... well I broke my leg... Not really proud of that, but its what happened.

I don't really remember what happened after that or any of Thursday. Apparently the med team for the competition got to me pretty quick and I was operated on and what not until Wednesday, and I slept until Friday morning.

When I woke up I saw Alice and Jen asleep in one of the chairs in my room. A laid there for a little while trying to go over what had happened in my head. I wasn't confused as to where I was I remembered breaking my leg, I just wanted to see how much I could remember. Jamie walked in with breakfast a little after I got up and he confirmed what I had happened. I asked about the girls and Jamie they'd all stayed the night in the room with me. Ya know I really haven't felt like I've had friends since that incident that started all those rumors, it feels really nice, warm. Anyway, Jamie also said that mom and Soph came by on Thursday while I was asleep and that they were gonna come back around noon that day.

Alice and Jen woke up a little after I finished talking to Jamie and various I'm so glad you're ok's and what not followed, Alice also slapped me and said something like I wasn't ever allowed to hurt myself like that again then walked out crying followed by Jen. I guess it was just a bit much for her to handle, she's probably never seen someone get seriously hurt before. This type of thing happens to me from time to time so I'm used to it by now.

The girls came back after a little while and Alice seemed to be feeling better. Lunch came and Alice and Jen went back to Alice's place to pick up something, Alice lives pretty close to the hospital so they said they'd be back in around a half hour or so. My mom came in with Sophia a little after the girls left, Kerry was with them too. Mom said they'd seen her in the hospital lobby looking confused and Sophia recognized her and went up to her asking if she was looking for me. Kerry apparently couldn't find which room I was in so they all came up together. Mom said she only came to drop off Soph 'cause she had to go back to work so she left pretty quick. Soph jumped on me and hugged me and pouted about how I lied when I said I wouldn't get hurt at this tournament. I told her that I didn't lie, I hadn't gotten hurt in the tournament, it was afterwords that the injury happened. She still seemed upset but there was nothing more to say about it so I told her that to make up for it I would take her to the Plains when I was better. She seemed happy so Jamie took her to get Lunch because she hadn't eaten yet.

When they left, Kerry started hugged me and started crying. She kept saying something about it being her fault, though I don't see how that's possible. I wasn't sure how to react, I've never had this happen to me before so I just sat there and let her finish crying and get it all out, 'cause I figured that it'd be good for her to say what she was feeling. When she was done I told her, what happens to me is because I've let it happen, not because someone caused it. She seemed to cheer up a little after that, so I figured I'd said the right thing.

Jamie came back after a little while and we talked and joked for a little while until the girls got back. They brought a game system with them and we played for a while(I wasn't very good) until it got late.

They released me the next morning which was this morning so I decided to write about what I'd missed. Anyway I'm gonna sign off for now I'll write more later today.

Practice, practice and more practice

So today was actually normal, I'm surprised, I didn't think I'd get a single day without having to write that something strange happened.

By the way, I realized after rereading what I wrote yesterday that it seemed like I wasn't surprised at Alice's story much, I was, but at the same time stuff like that will on occasion happen from time to time when there's a terrorist attack, that's all I wanted to say on that.

So today school went pretty well today. I had another paper due today, I also got back my paper from yesterday, got a B. Professor Q brought us cookies today, he said... god I can't remember the name, anyway he didn't make them he seemed kinda up set , like he was being forced to give them to us, it was kinda funny, but they were damn good cookies. I even saw Principal Nashira sneaking off with a cookie.

After school I had to go to practice. Since we have the tournament tomorrow we had to stay extra late. Kerry did really well today, we still don't have a third for the sparring team, but she's gonna get gold in women's singles for sure.

When it got to be around the time that we normally get out, Alice walked in to the gym and sat off to the side. After we got out I asked Alice what was up, she said she was waiting for me. She didn't want to go to the train station alone I guess. Kerry came up while I was talking to Alice to confirm the time we had to meet up and what not so I introduced her to Alice. After that we headed home.

Nothin' more for today.

Normal not so normal day

I find myself beginning to see a pattern here in having strange days. Today, however, was, for the most part normal. Got up around seven thirty this morning so I had to rush to make it to school today, got there just as the bell rang. I turned in my essay to Professor Q he said something about it but I don't remember what it was.

After school I went to club,  mostly normal there. Kerry seemed a little cheerier today than she usually does. We have a tournament coming up on Wednesday so we're training for that pretty hard.

After practice I met up with Alice again. I asked how it was in the Comp Lab today, but she said she hadn't worked there today. I wonder if she was just waiting for me? I didn't ask because I didn't want to put her on the spot, maybe I'll ask in a few days or something. Anyway, when we got to the train station she got all fidgety and nervous again. So I asked her what was up. She said that nothing was wrong but I kept pushing because it's not good to bottle up stuff like this. Finally she told me what had happened. Tuesday last week she was running late because Professor Q wanted to talk to her after school. She got to the station pretty quick but still missed her train. After a few minutes some guy dressed like a pirate (at least, that's how it seemed to me from how she described him) walked in and sat next to her. She tried to ignore him because he was a stranger, but she did notice that he had Mutation K.

While she was waiting she heard a big crack from above her. She looked up and saw a big chunk of the ceiling falling towards her. She covered her head, not that she thought that it'd do any good. After another second she heard something hit the ground but she didn't feel any pain. she looked around and saw that the chunk of ceiling had split right in half and a piece had landed ten feet on either side of her.

I guess being in a train station just makes her nervous now because it brings back what she was feeling when she thought she was about to die... I wasn't sure what to say at first, but I'm used to people having this kind of reaction to scary events, it happens to rookie competitors sometimes when they get hit real hard for the first time. I didn't want to say to her what I say to them though, because somehow I don't think saying "tough it out" would help much. We sat on the bench in the station not saying much for a little while, until finally I decided to change the subject, I'll help her deal with her problems later right now she just needs to cheer up, so I invited her to come to the tournament. I told her that James would be there and he'd probably bring Jen, so its not like she wouldn't know anyone there or not have anyone to talk to. She said she'd come, and that made me really happy.

Well that's all for today, I'll put in more tomorrow.

Interesting day today

Woke up late today, I slept in until about noon this morning which is odd for me, I think I was just exhausted from yesterday. Kerry called me today, I wasn't sure what to think at first, I mean I usually don't get called by club members, and I certainly don't get called by girls. Turns out she wanted to hang out today so I said sure, I had nothin' better to do. I dropped Sophia off at the park next to the coffee shop that Kerry asked to meet at and waited for her.

She was a few minutes late, but that's fine, it gave me a few minutes to think to myself. When she got there we both ordered tea and just sat there for a little while not really saying much, until she just started talking, she kept saying stuff so fast that I could barely understand her. It almost sounded like she was speaking a completely different language sometines. It took a minute but I finally figured out that she was feeling bad because she felt like she was hiding things from me and she wasn't alowed to tell me what it was.

I didn't really know what to say at first, I mean she felt bad because she was hiding some stuff from me but at the same time she couldn't say what uit was. It took me a minute but finally I just told her that as long as she acts like her self then it doesn't matter what she's hiding because my friends are my friends regardless of what's in their past . She got a little teary-eyed and thanked me, I said didn't need to thank me, it's just how my friends are.

Around this time Sophia came to where we were sitting and told me she was getting tired. I told Kerry I had to take her home and got up to leave, but just before I left she hugged me. You need to understand, this was really weird for me, I haven't had anyone hug me since elementry school, let alone a girl. She just stood there for a minute, not moving, not saying anything. When she finally let me go I just smiled at her and she ran off. I really don't get that girl, anyway thats it for today, see you tomorrow.

Mini vacation...kinda

Well I went to the Plains with Soph today. That was pretty fun and unexpected, not going there, but who came with me. I'll start at the beginning... So this morning I got up early 'cause its about a four hour train ride out to the Plains. I got Sophia up around eight and we started out to the train station when I realized that I had left my work out bag at school and my train pass was in that bag, so we walked over to school to get it. It only took a few minutes to walk to school and get my stuff, and as we were walking back out I saw Alice sitting by the front gate. I asked her what she was doing there and she said that Jen had asked to meet up with her today, but hadn't shown up yet.

I asked if she had tried calling Jen and Alice said Jen wasn't picking up her phone, so I gave Jamie a call to see if he had heard from Jen since they're dating. Jamie said he'd "stolen" Jen for the day, I don't think I need to say what that means... damn that guy... Anyway so I explained the situation to Alice and she sighed and said that now she had a perfectly good day wasted 'cause she had nothing to do. Soph pulled on my sleeve and told me to ask Alice if she wanted to come with us to the Plains, I figured why the hell not so I asked and she said yes...needles to say, that made me pretty happy.

So we get to the train station and get on the train and Soph falls asleep like two minutes after we start moving (she always does). After a little bit Alice asks me why we were going to the Plains, which is a pretty good question, the Plains are pretty much clear of people and buildings except for the odd train station, there's a pretty large gap between the inland cities and the coastal cities and nobody really ever goes there. Anyway, I told Alice that I like going to the Plains 'cause it helps clear my head and its really peaceful. She kinda looked at me like she wasn't sure if I was really telling the truth or not so I told her she'd understand when we got there. We talked about about school and stuff for a little then she started playing a hand-held video game system she had brought with her. I never really got into video games except this one I used to play when I was a kid, I don't remember what it was called, but I remember running around as some kid wearing all green with a fairy chasing after me.

When we got to the Plains Soph ran off and started tumbling around and whatnot, I told her to keep Tsoa with her so that I could find her later, oh yeah I brought Tsoa, he always comes when I call and makes it easier to find Soph 'cause he can sniff her out. I took Alice a little ways from the station until we got to the rolling hills. Apparently she doesn't get out of the city much 'cause she had never seen anything like what I showed her. Tall golden grass for as far as you could see and not a cloud in the sky to cover up the sun. We even got to see a family of butterflies float by, oh man, it was amazing, that's why I love going to the Plains. And, I got to see Alice smile, that was something special.

As we were looking out along the area I started pointing out various places where myths and legends took place, until I realized that Alice hadn't heard any of them because she seemed to just be agreeing with what I was saying. So, I asked if she wanted to hear one of the legends. She said that she wasn't a big fan of them, but she didn't mind if I told her a story because it might help get her mind off of school (turns out even computer people get bugged by school I guess). I told her the story of how the Tysan of rebirth, Besh'ta, and the Tysan of blooming flowers joined to create Spring (Tysan, by the way, are mythical creatures that represent the elements as well as various other things, some people today worship them as gods, I mostly just like the stories).

After a few hours it was getting late enough that we had to go, so I called Sophia back and she and I and Alice got back on the next train home. This time I didn't talk to Alice much because she fell asleep...on my shoulder...which was nice, Soph fell asleep too so I had the whole train ride to catch up on reading "Troublemakers". When we got back I made sure Alice got back on her train home before carrying Sophia back to our house. I just realized that I forgot to ask Alice what happened to make her act so weird, but I'm kinda glad that I did, because I think it would have ruined the day, and that wouldn't have been any fun.

Not much

Today was pretty normal. I woke up really early, Soph was already awake. She said she'd had a bad dream, I asked her what happened, but she said it was too scary to talk about, I'll get her to tell me about it later, it's always better to talk about bad dreams, you know... Before I put her back to bed she made me promise to take her out to the Plains tomorrow, that's gonna be an interesting day. After practice got out I met up with Alice again, she apparently had to stay after school again to help out in the computer lab, oh yeah, I don't think I mentioned that last time, I usually get out of club until around five because of clean up and what not, and it turned out that Alice had been helping out in the Lab till about that time yesterday which is how I was able to walk her to the train station. Anyway, I tried to get her to tell me what was wrong but she kept changing the subject, she got really freaked out when we got to the station again, and made me wait with her which was fine with me, hey, I bet that has something to do with why she's been acting funny. I'll bug her about it on monday. Uh oh, looks like Tsoa got out of his bed, I better go find him, then I'm off to bed.

A day of surprises (Ya I know its cliche)

So today had a few surprises for me, seems like that's been happening a lot lately. First off, in club today Kerry seemed a little distracted, so after practice I went to check on her. I caught her right after her shower as she was changing, no I didn't see anything, well except one thing, she had these crazy black tattoos all over her body, or at least all of what I could see, it looked almost like tiger stripes but something seemed off about them. I waited outside the showers till after she had finished changing so I could talk to her. She said had been feeling a little strange since last night, but that this happened from time to time. I just hope it doesn't happen right before a tournament. I also asked her about those tattoos, but she said she didn't want to talk about it, I wonder if something bad happened to her... anyway that's the only thing to happen today.

I talked to Alice this morning, I didn't say much, just something about what she was looking at (she was staring out the window), I did it mostly cause Jamie said that if I don't talk to her then she's gonna get scooped up by some other guy and I don't want to see that happen. I didn't get a chance to say much though, because class started.

But after school, I walked her home...well to the train station anyway, I don't live close enough to her to ride the train with her, and mom will get pissed if I get home too late. At first when I offered to walk with Alice she got really defensive and angry at me as if I had done something wrong, but after talking to her for a bit I think I realized it was because she thought I was making fun of her or something. I figured if I was gonna get anywhere I needed to level the playing field with her so I asked her if she even knew my name, cause the whole time she'd just been calling me captain. That stopped her cause apparently she didn't know, so I told her and tried to be friendly and she started acting a lot nicer. While we were walking she asked me what it was like to have Mutation K 'cause she had never met anyone with it before, I said I couldn't really compair cause I've had my fangs all my life. I asked her why she was even willing to talk to me at all because of hte rumors about me but apparently she hasn't heard them. We talked a little more about school and stuff before we got to the train station. She seemed a little on edge when we got there so I waited for the train with her. Tomorrow I'm gonna ask why she's been acting wierd lately. Anyway its getting kinda late so and I need to go feed Tsoa, my ferret.

Getting kicked in the face hurts...

Well school was pretty normal today, Professor Q harped on Alice pretty bad in class though 'cause she wasn't paying attention to him. She's been acting really weird the past few days, I think something happened to her, I'll have to have Jamie ask Jen about it... anyway club was weird today. Kerry, that new girl with the mask-hair-tie thing, she was sparring with me today, and not to be sexist or anything, but for a girl, or even for a guy now that I think about it, she hit damn hard, I have bruises up and down my arms and legs. She's good, really good, she doesn't quite know the rules of point sparring yet and she still has to work on control, but I think that I can get her ready for the tournament next week and I'm willing to bet she'll take first in sparring, now if I could only find one more person who could fight like that we'd be able to compete in team sparring... Well that's it for today, not much to write about I guess so I'm heading off to sleep.

Back after a short break

Sorry I haven't written anything for the past couple days, I was at a tournament the on Saturday and I got kicked in my left hand and could barely hold a pencil until today, it still hurts writing this right now... anyway let me fill in what you missed.

Saturday-I was at the tournament like I said. I did pretty well I think, I got silver in the forms competition, though I should have gotten gold, I guess I just haven't been training hard enough, I've really got to try harder. And in the sparring competition I was roundhouse kicked in the hand so hard that I couldn't close it until today (hence the not updating) the judges wanted to rule me unable to compete, but I was able to convince them otherwise. My technique was bad after the injury though because of the pain and I was only able to get bronze... I really need to work on my dodging so that next time I dodge instead of block, then I'm gonna kick that guy in the face if I even see him at a tournament again because I think he hurt me on purpose.

Sunday-Mom got back in town, but she was still really busy, and I couldn't train the way I wanted to because of my hand so I decided that the day would be better spent taking Soph to the nearby park. (Sophia is my seven year old sister by the way) That was pretty fun, I actually enjoy spending time with my sister, she always seems amazed by everything that I can do, its nice. Soph always asks about my day and what I've been doing at school. She keeps telling me that I need to talk to Alice, I guess thats my fault though, I always taught her that to solve problems you need to talk your way through them, I didn't want her thinking that because I'm a martial artist it means I fix things with strength. When we got back from the park I had to work on my essay for Professor Q's class. A one page paper on how people with the K mutation got equal rights fifty years ago. It took forever to do that essay cause I had to type with one hand. Boy was that ever boring, I know it actually directly affects me 'cause I'm one of those people with the mutation (in case you don't know the symptoms of the mutation are long, sharp canine teeth and a second ring of color in each iris), but I really don't care that much about history, it happened in the past, why do we need to worry about it?

Monday-Not too bad of a day, I turned in my paper and got a funny look from Professor Q when he glanced over it. I also noticed that Alice didn't turn in her homework, I wonder why, I always thought brainy types like her were good at school... well whatever, she probably has her reasons. I also started Japanese classes today (Japanese is mandatory at my school and we start taking it when we're grade schoolers), that was pretty fun, its one of the few classes I'm really good at. Jamie(James) and I can now actually speak fairly fluently with each other in Japanese. He was telling me that I really just need to talk to Alice, he said confidence is the most important thing when talking to girls. I still cant bring myself to approach her though, I'd rather have her not know I exist than be afraid of me.

Today-I got my paper back today. Professor Q gave me a B- which is a lot higher than I thought I'd get 'cause I pretty just covered only what I had to, I didn't really try very hard to make it anything special. I heard Professor Q talking to Alice about how he need to see her after class. I had martial arts club practice until late tonight, that new girl, the one who tried out for club last week, she was really amazing training, there was something odd I noticed about her though, she has the weirdest thing to hold back her hair, it looks kind of like a white mask, there are two holes that are spaced far enough apart so that they could be used for eye holes, and a third one that goes low enough for her mouth to fit behind it. She was using one of the eye holes to keep her hair back, and when one of the club members wanted to look at it she said that she didn't like people touching it because it was special to her and got really pissed when he asked again. And speaking of weird things, when I was leaving I saw Alice hurrying out of school, I don't think she was scared or anything, I think she just had somewhere to be, maybe she missed her ride home or something. well that's about it for today, now I have to go read half a chapter in my in my history book.

First day of school

Well today was alright, not bad not particularly good either though. Professor Q gave us a paper to write in class today then he collected the paper and graded it right in front of the class and called us up one by one  to tell us what was wrong with our assignment... my paper was practically painted red... Professor Q went on for like ten minutes about how I need to improve my writing skills and how I need to learn from this experience and better myself from it, blah blah blah whatever, I dunno its not even that I don't like history it just always feels like there's something I'm not getting.

Alice is in three of my classes this year, that's nice I guess, though i still don't think she even knows I exist... oh well I guess being in class with her is good enough for now.
Oh yeah, a new kid tried out for martial arts club today, it was a girl, I don't remember her name, she was pretty cute though. She did good, her technique was impressive and hes power was good too. I'm gonna let her  join, she'll be really good to have at tournaments, and maybe I dunno, maybe having a girl in the club might help change people's minds about me... wow that must make me sound like I just want her in the club to help my own needs.... well whatever.

Anyway, this morning I got up around six as usual, and found Sophia, my kid sister (she's like seven now) down in the kitchen. She said she couldn't sleep cause she missed mom(she's outta town on business right now). I ate some cucumbers and cereal with her, then we watched a little TV before I walked her to her elementary school. She was holding onto my shirt until we got all the  way to the campus, I didn't think she would ever let go. She gets like that sometimes, especially when mom isn't here, I think its kinda cute the way Sophia gets all clingy.

Well I have to go work on my homework so that's all I'm gonna write for today.

First day with a new diary

Hey, I filled filled up my previous diary yesterday, so I went and got this one this morning. I guess I should start off by introducing myself, my name is Jerrico, Jerrico Serasanas, (I know its a weird foreign last name but i didn't pick it so give me a break) but my friends...friend calls me Jerry, the guys in the martial arts club just call me captain.

We just started the new school year over at Nashira Academy, I'm a junior this year, we had our annual party to start off the year and get to know our fellow classmates. Nobody really talked to me other than a quick hi, my reputation preceded me I guess, except James O'Donnel, my best friend, he hung out with me all day. All kinds of people came up to talk to him, especially Jen (don't know her family name), she stayed to talk to him for at least twenty minutes, though that's to be expected cause they're dating. I don't even know why I went to that stupid thing, I mean well... yeah I do, I went to see Alice, ya see the meet and greet party is one of the only days of the school year where we're allowed to wear our street clothes to school and I always like seeing Alice, she has the nicest way of dressing. She's always wearing either a skirt or a dress, and I don't know why but I really like that, and she was wearing a white button up shirt and a red tie today, oh, and a white skirt. I don't think she noticed me though, she was busy talking to Jen the whole time, even when Jen was talking to James, she still didn't seem to notice that I was right next to her. I don't think she woulda spoken to me even if she had seen me though, I have a kind of a bad reputation around school.

Ya see, two years ago I told this girl from my class that I liked her and asked her to go out with me. She said she had no interest in me and rejected me right in front of the entire class. What a bitch, I know, well later that day they were having tryouts for the martial arts club and I figured, well why the hall not, I've been training since I was like four, I might get in, so I went ad tried out and lo and behold I got in. Now as everyone was getting ready to leave and people were packing up, the girl I had asked out walked into the gym, I don't really know why.. Anyway at about that time, one of the guys from the club thought it'd be funny to throw a ball at my head, I heard it coming and blocked it with a kick, yeah yeah not the smartest thing in the world, but hey, we all make mistakes sometimes right? Well the kick sent the ball flying right to where the girl was standing and hit her square in the face, breaking her nose. Some guy from my class saw this and yelled out something along the lines of "what the hell did you do that for, all she did was reject you!". I didn't get in too much trouble for hurting the girl, it was an accident and the kid who threw the ball backed me up, but from then on rumors started spreading that any girl that rejected me would suffer some kind of physical trauma due to my rage or some bullshit. So now none of the girls will talk to me for fear of me starting to like them and asking them out and none of the guys will talk to me unless they have to because they don't want to be associated with me, except for James that is, he's been my best friend since before I can even remember and Jen doesn't seem to mind him being associated with me so he doesn't get much crap about that.

Anyway that was pretty much all that happened today, except for Professor Q giving us a pointlessly long lecture on why if we don't learn history we're doomed to repeat the past. I mean its one of the only days of school where the teachers aren't required to tell us much cause we only have homeroom and he decides to give us a friggin lecture because he feels we need it or some crap... alright well thats all I've got, I'll check in tomorrow.
